bit sceptical until there's proof of an actual program.
not the multiplayer ev is impossible, it's just that it's a hell of alot more easier to import ev graphics into an image than it is to code such a thing.

I'm not buying it. Besides, an in game chat? Dumb. Maybe if it was tied it in with the Mac's text to speech software it'd be ok. If you want to chat with flks in a theoretical EVMP, you should do that from a spob screen. How do you talk and fight a battle at the same time?

By saying that I'm guessing you don't play many online games. There's an in game chat for most of them. What else are you supposed to do on those long cargo runs besides press the jump button? Wait, I think I just got it. How would the game tell the difference between a game command and actual typing in the chat box? Well, you could press a button beforehand, then type.

2- If so many people were playing the game, why wouldn't they leak about it?

Whocares never claimed that his "EVMP" screenshot was real. He was even modest about it ("Bear with me on the art and no starfield"). It certainly got a lot of attention, just the same.

It would be fun to see different folks' conception of an EVMP interface. Until someone comes along to shut this topic down, anyway.
