    • The Empire

After hearing so much about the Empire plugins, I decided to try them out. I got the first one first. Am I the only one who noticed that there are all ships from Final Battle with different names? Whats up with that?

Also, I have a problem. I joined the Weave aliance and have "good egg" status in most of their systems. I hyper in and touch nothing, and still the Weave attack me. Its completely unprovoked. Sometimes the Terran's do too. What did I do to displease them so?

    • I noticed all the ships were from final battle too. So, I asked the maker of the plug who made 'em first. He said the final battle person did and that he got permission to use them. The only reason he said he didn't make his own was because of hard drive space, or som'n like that.

    • Oh. Well, do you have any idea why I keep getting unprovoked attacks? Its driving me nuts. I can't go anywhere without the Weave firing on me, regardless of my actions and legal status. Yarg.

    • When Evan Priestly made Final Battle, he annonced in the read-me that the graphics could be used freely by anyone. All that was required was that they mention where they got the graphics. For that I am grateful, because I sometimes use the graphics in personal plugs. As for the Weave and Terran ships attacking you, in some systems that is prone to happen. Wheter Tim put it there or if it's just a bug, I can't say. On another note, ares1, you made a good choice in starting to play the Empire Trilogy plugs. They are some of the best offered.

    • Well, I'm about to stop playing the Empire plugs. Im stuck in a "transporter" or something (retired 'fed frigate) because it was the best warship I could afford. I cant make any money at all because everywhere I go the weave are killing me, or the Terran are killing me. I can't stay alive for 5 seconds, and when I can I can't be running missions or pirating ships for money. It's getting frusterating.. bah, im too easily frusterated.

Anyways, I'm giving up the Empire plugins. Im not good enough to face every government in the game all the time.

    • Your in a retired Terran frigate! That is a pirate ship! All pirate ships are targeted by all governments no matter what.

    • (delete - never mind, Rak knows what was going on already - same problem I thought of, but not a bug, I guess)

    • The ship is called a Transport. And yeah, Empire 1. Or just Empire. My only theory is that the ship is Confed (or Terran) aligned, making the Rebels (Weave) hate me. Its like flying a Confed Cruiser into Rebel territory. I don't know, i havnt looked into it much.

    • Rak, how did you edit your message without the (this edited by General Rak at...) thing? Didn't your message say something like, "I have an idea... what ship is it? Are you playing empire 1? /me goes the download...etc"? Because now it says something totally different, and my previous reply was responding to that.

    • Hrm... I went into ResEdit and changed InherentGov from Terran Empire (not pirate) to -1. Seems to be working again. I don't think that that can be called a bug, but it is a.. er, bad move by the plugin maker, I guess. I can see that they should kill me if I get a ship from Terrans by working for them, but that Transport was just, like, a retired Terran frigate that I picked up in Terran space. It doesn't in anyway affiliate me with the Terran Star Empire. Oh well.
