Actually, I'm not doing as bad as my parents at this point. :frown: If this doesn't slow down some, it's going to anyway, because I'm not going to be able to be on and updating stuff as much.

Not totally, though constant emails helped a little. Hopefuly now that we're off and running, there won't be much innovation. Of course, expect a new round of it when the Aliens get going.

It's more my parents than you. They tend to be a bit tyrannical about my use of the computer.

Of course, I have contacted Clueless, but you probably won't know anything about the new ship until you see it, other than the fact that I have it. At least, so goes the plan at this time. Yuor ships would have no way of discovering any new moves by the aliens until you've seen them in battle, and new ships would be held back with the fleet. You'll know all about it once it tears you up in combat.

Speaking of the particle beams, I forgot to describe them. They are more deadly then the heavy fusion beams, but they have extrememly short range.

KK - we don't need a starting system from you, the you get to make your first attack by surprise, like the Aliens do. Welcome to the game.

Oh Skyblade, I sent you an email, and I need to add one more question here, for my first attacks, can I take direct control of my subordinates fleets, deeper than just ordering them? It would be a pain to try to coordinate the first attacks like I want over the board here, and I can't email Shade.

Shade, if you could send me an email so I can get your address, that would be great. I want to coordinate the Aliens first attack pretty tightly, which means we need to do some email with all three of us. If this doesn't work, I'll have to take you and RC's fleets for one post, but I don't really want to have to do that.

How about starting a new "BFS Conference"(?) thread to continue the discussions in this current thread. (You could copy the rules to the new thread and we 56k-ers could access the info more effeciently.)

I have a problem with this. As in EV, old ships should be devalued by at least 50%. I, for one, would not pay full price for a used warship.

Also, how come the Human Confederation developed 2 new weapons (the flak turret and quad turbolaser turret), in one turn? I thought it was only 1 outfit per turn.

Sure, you can post it in the new discussion thread, or here if you want. Can you tell me what kind of error you're getting? My dad does professional tech support for PCs and non-pro tech support for Macs (which he does like better, thank god ), so we may be able to figure out what the problem is.

Hm, yes, grunadulater's post is rather odd. His math is rather odd too, but at least he's erring against himself. Something obviously needs done there, but with no precedent or rule to call on, I think I'll let Captain Skyblade call this. My instinct would be that he can't sell ships, certainly not for full price. We may need a new rule to cover this.

As for the new weapons, there was one for page 1, and one for page 2. Nothing wrong there.

Thanks for brining your points up here, not on the topic. Next time, we have a new thread specifcally for these types of things now, so that one would be a better place in the future. I'm just calling attention to the new one, you did absolutely right this time, because it wasn't up yet.
