For me, the most frustrating situation, is when your pilot has heroically disabled a Pirate Kestral, or Corvette etc. in a small ship such as a scoutship, or Courier, and an irritating little Manta, or Confed Patrol ship comes out of the blue, and blows it up before you can board it. Maybe the second most frustrating thing is when you have disabled a juicy prize, but you're too near the "wall" of the system, and the disabled ship drifts accross the wall, and is sitting there out or reach.

When an annoying relative shuts off your computer/quits EV just after you beat a load of ships and got their credits, or completed your most challenging mission BEFORE you could land because of a call of any type.

Something that happens more commonly so its annoyance factor is multiplied.
Flying 6-8 systems and then completing a mission there, ie saving a passenger off a disabled ferry ship. Then you get there and pirates or something kill you. forcing you to fly the route again.

It doesn't happen to me anymore (or to almost anyone who has played a few times), but the most aggrivating thing that i can remember about EV is when i just started.

I was exploring the fringe systems, and so i landed on an unihabited planet. OOPS! Turns out i didn't have enough fuel to get to civilized space, so i was basically screwed. Normally i would just start buying fuel until i reached a planet. Unfortunately, it turns out that i had spent my last few credits on fuel to get way the hell out here. So there i was, stuck, out in the middle of !#$&% nowhere. I made a new pilot, and have never had the problem since.

I think that the most ignoying thing for a devoloper to get is a currupt pict. They are hard to remove and if you mess up your computer will crash.

It's when your new scanner destroys your system folder and you have to erase your hard disk and lose all pilots, plug ins and applications.

When you disable a ship and you hop on board, take all the credits, ammo and stuff. Then you make it a escort and it goes and gets killed instently.

How about when you've spent hours and hours getting to the final alien mission and you discover that because of the turret tracking on your early version of EV (or the complete lack of it to be precise) your ships guns simply aren't powerful enough to take down the cruiser's shields.

And your mac doesn't have an internet connection so you can't download the update.

And the update is just slightly too big to be downloaded to floppy by someone else.

Disabling a ship, almost boarding it, and being hit by one of the missles that it shot before you disabled it, and being blown up by that.

I know exactly what the most annoying thing is. You take a planet over but when your goverment in a plugin gets control of that system, you are hated by EVERYONE!

Perhaps the worst thing that can happen is when your Mac breaks down and you have to play EV at a simulator in your PC.
(If it's any Mac-simulators for the BEEP PC, wich I doubt.)

when you're a newbie and you just beat the alien cruiser (which as a newbie is impossible) and you get rebel cruiser, and the computer messes up, and you're at the point before you go against the aliens. :mad:

Hey, woah buddy! You deserve it. All I have is a mac. It rocks, but it still has its limitations. There are dozons of games that I would - well not kill for, but you know - that only run on IBM. I think it's time that someone made a really cool game exclusively for us good ol' macintosh users! SOOOOOORRY if I offended you.

the game doesn't deserve such torture as to be played on a pc. the game also has buttons you need that a pc doesn't have. oh, does anyone else know that Bill Gates isn't the richest man in the world anymore? i am(just kidding) wish i was though.
