Newbie!? No sir...I did the Confederation string for the first time in 1996, and never did them again since I hated the Confeds. I downloaded Escape Velocity a few weeks after is was released, and I can assure you I know my ropes very well.

BTW, last year I started a pilot to do the Confed missions ... but my heart was so not in it, I deleted the pilot file pretty quickly. Maybe in ten years or so I'll be curious enough to be a -- Worm.

Naturally, I was joking when I called Skyblade here a newbie.

And the Confed missions sure are hard, by the time I get a good enough ship to do the missions, I'm usually at the point where I start attacking Confeds in earnest, to get my rating up with the rebels. Legal rating drops because of an occasional impulsive banging of the fire keys when I see those ugly blue dots sure are a pain.

Blue dots? Those things are gross...Atleast the new MAGMA plugin for EV replaces those things with stars.
