I keep hearing about a weapon called a forklift is it in the ev game or is it found in plug? thanks TRYPOD

Yes...its a very powerful cheat weapon.

It can destroy most small ships with one hit. It takes 4 to destroy a Confed Frigate, 10 to destroy a Confed Crusier. Since it unbalances the game so much, it is NOT recomended that you use it, as it takes all of the fun out of the game.

But, if you want to ruin the EV Experience for yourself, go ahead. Option-click on the "Escape Velocity" picture at the top of the screen. Read the story about Matt Burch, and hold down shift+option+command+control+f. At the end, you'll hear a guy singing "They'll try to kill em with a forklift". After that, congratulations. You are a lousy, low-life, scum cheater

Grrrrr...I do not like the forklift. It really spoils the game...

A piece of advice- Never use cheats until you've completed all the major parts of any game. I've heard plenty of people say "I wish I hadn't used cheats..."

TRYPOD, my advice is to keep it as a weapon of last resort. It's the thing you want for only the worst situations ( like when that pirate corvette just has to pick on your poor little shuttecraft ). Having a forklift as a crutch has caused some pilots I know to become sloppy & lose much of their fighting skill. Go ahead and use it but don't depend on it to do all your fighting for you.

Besides, it doesn't work well in asteriod belts.....

You got it in the wrong order. You option-click on the title and when you see4:35P.m.
you hold down control, command, option, Shift then f untill you hear a man singing.

Here's the only really good use for the forklift, In the unregisterd version where your shots go right through The Annoying One (Cap'n Hectore), disable a ship and stand between it and the closest place where ships jump in. Sooner or later, The Annoying One will jump in and head strait for you, hopefully twords the disabled ship. Right as he goes over the ship, fire the forklift so the explosion hits him too. I never felt so good the first time I smoked his annoying ass, and it always cheers me up when I'm depressed.

P.S. For the slow-witted ones that didn't get it, the explosion kills Cap'n Hectore too.
