I captured a Confed Cruiser!!!! 
With 9%!!!!!!!!! There are many new weapons possibilities, but what the heck is weapon X? I accidently sold one. It seems to effect Neutron Blasters. Help!!! (HA I captured it!!)

You mean you catured the Cruiser and one of its weapons was a "X". Was it a secondary weapon or a pirmery. I'm thinking its a primery cuz it has something to do with the Nutron Blasters. I'm gona try to capture one.

On your armaments list it has no name. For example:
"an auto-refueler, a missile jammer, and three ."
Where as three is equal to this elusive weapon "X". It is not selectable, and its selling price is 94c. It takes 200 tons!!!

If you captured a named Confed Cruiser (USS Something or other), then what you're seeing listed may be the particle beam. Or is that already listed?

It could be the beam. I checked EV-Edit, the U.S.S.'s (feds) may have a gunboat bay, a particle beam or both. The R.S.S.'s (rebels) can have extra manta's, mass drivers or both.

I did an experiment. I copied the pilot file, and bought a new ship with the copy. It looks like an outfit that enables your ship to have neutron blasters..... although I don't know what advantage that would give you. It seems that when you buy a new ship, although it says they are 200 tons, they take up no space... so in theory you can have neutron blasters with a Lightning. (not a defender, though, I tried) But this still leaves many things unexplained. I wonder if Rebel Council was successful in capturing a cruiser.....

There is no outfit that fits your description, which more than likely makes it a bug. Did you have any plugins and did you steal and ammo before capturing it?

if you weren't using a plug-in then maybe it was something that hung round from a different plugin, cause i've had a ship in one plugin, brought it to another and found that. of course, u shouldn't be able to sell it...

It definately isn't a plug-in.
When I did a cheat to make everything available everywhere (after doing everything
I could in the game) there were about 10 weapons named "X".
It's not part of the plugin.

Gunboats! Forge, you're a genius!
Some pers Confed Cruisers have gunboats!
Oh, and the weapons "X"s and ship "X"s varied. The ships went from ships that
cost in the negative number, to stationery invisible ships that cost 700 million,
and ships without masks, weapons, crew, shields, and so on.
The weapons and outfits, I never feally found out. One was Forklift, though,
another gunboat bay and gunboat, so on blah de blah.
