I know this has probably already been talked about but I've been talking to some of my Ev buddies and imagining how good this would be internet based or networked. You could go around and fight anyone anywhere...trade with anyone....internet based would probably be the best. Opinions?

That's a good idea, I'd play it if you guys could make it. But make sure its more fun than the current EV RPGs that exist, they end up being boring really quickly.

EV online would not be impossible(nothing ever is), just a lot of hard work. Yes, it would be cool, but don't expect to see it anytime soon(if ever).
Though actually I imagine it too(as everything else) would eventually get boring. Just look at all the other RPGs, and they are way more indepth then EV, as far as stuff like new weapons and such go.

This request has been present for the past six years. As it is not going to be on Nova you are just going to have to get ares and the Ares:Override plug-in when it comes out. Or EVMP when those guys finish it. Its not an ambrosia product so it could take awhile.

Blizzard has trouble with online networked games. Blizzard. Besides, a mac network? A couple thousand users at most. But perhaps that will expand the mac usage? If I caught myself with a PC, I'd shoot myself.
I've thought about this a lot. How to do it, how to fund it, and who to do it. An intriguing idea, at least.

not to mention that there woudl instanlty be hundreds of peopel trying to hack their pilots. And yes, peopel will figure out somehow, they always do. And then, what woudl be to stop people from just killing everyone you know? All the newbies in their shuttles woudl be picked on so much! lol, that woudl be funny, yet frustrating. But boy, would it be cool if they could do that, and make it co-op ya know? A bunch of peeps doing one mission, like those ones where stations get attacked by pirates or whatever, all the peopel in the bar (which would be a chat room basically) would get the same message saying "bla bla bla pirates attacking WILL YOU HELP?" And peopel would all go out anf kill kill kill those dumb pirates!! GRR! And you could sort of intertwine it too eh? Like the pirates attacking don;'t jsut have to be NPC AI, they could be other peeps, who got a missions saying "assault this place" or whatever.......

just a LITTLE hard to do LOL. But boy woudl that be the best game of all time.
