So far ive been playing all day to get a mission started but none do, I did a search and all i found was where the rebel string started, but i like going with the side that looks desperate for help(confeds in this) so i want to know where the confed missions start. Thanks.

Both sets of military missions for either start with some courier action. At every port of call, take a trip to the spaceport bar (if one is available). I find that most of my start missions come from independent planets, but I can't be sure. Anyway, do a few deliveries (normal ones) first, then start looking in the bars. Eventually, you'll get a mission asking you to take documents or weapons or whatever for a certain government, and that should start you off. WHATEVER YOU DO, don't take on and do both missions (one for each government) otherwise it takes much much MUCH longer to get the juicy missions.

it takes a long time before you'll actually be asked to do the mission to deliver documents. I recommend that you busy yourself getting a better ship in the mean time, because you will need it, if only to allow you to do more than one delivery mission at once.

And something not mentioned yet (unless I missed it) is that a higher combat rating is usually needed to start mission strings. You might want a better ship (already suggested) that can run some defense so you can get your combat rating up a bit.

I got an intimadtor and rating of ulitmate(ddint take that long with my methods)...guess I'll just keep on killing rebel ships and doing those runs...oh well shoudltn take tooooo much longer, thanks. Oh and does that go the same for the Rebels?

Ok i did the torgo prime missions(where you free the confeds and they become demorcratic) and i got a carreir :). But now hwere do i go to get the rebel missions???

sorry bud, that's the end for that pilot file, you gotta start a new one. after you blow up their main planet it's kinda hard to get missions there.

I think I started it off on the north-east side of the Galaxy, on one of the stations of the Main planet up there. Go exploring. Ig you get the extreme rebel faction missions, accept them and you will be able to continue with the rebels. (Because something very surprising happens at the end of the radicalist string)
