How can I buy confederate ships? I tried to capture a confederate frigate with my kestrel but my crew is too small. The biggest confederate ship I can capture is a gunboat or a patrol ship. I accidently aborted the last confed mission :redface: And I dont really want to do any of the rebel missions...
Is there any way I can buy confederate ships? If I absolutely have to I will do the rebel missions. I want a government ship because they are better, and I really want a confed ship, just like I wanted the kestrel I baught about 3 days ago.
P.S. Please don't turn this into an arguement about which government is better.

Well, if you aborted the "Destroy Alien Cruiser" Mission, try going to Mars and getting it again. If you are talking about a different mission, then it won't lead to 'Fed ships. However, stay in 'Fed space to get the Alien Cruiser Mission.

Also, an unmentioned bug (I think) is that after completing the Alien Cruiser mission for the Feds, you can get Rebel ships also. I recommend a Rebel Cruiser w/ max proton turrets, 4 Mass drivers, max proton cannons (after the mass drivers) and all speed upgrades. This type of ship kicks ass.

Oops... then it wasnt the last confed mission I aborted. It was the one where you get back some confed weps that were stolen from ruby, I got to the 4th part, but then instead of hitting done on the missions window I hit abort :frown:
Hmmm, I guess ill go see if I can get the alien mission.

Ah.. the annouying and very useless Partical Beam. I think you have to do that mission, but I suggest that you finish it, and then go buy a shuttlecraft with nothing on it cept for an escape pod, and then blow yourself up :). That way you don't have that weapon on your ship all the time. If you don't have the update for EV get it cause I think it fixes the Confederate Alien mission bug.

I cant finish the mission cause I aborted it, and I cant update EV yet cause my mac doesnt have the Internet and I use the Internet on my gateway.

OK, Im on the Alien Cruiser mission part 2. Where is it, (if it appears at random just give me a genrel are of systems) Iwent into all the systems in the Trugati Asteroid belt and it wasnt in any of them. Is it in one thats near it?

Actually it isn't random. check all the bottom systems. Can't give you the system cause that just wouldn't make it fun. It is near the very bottom, but between 3 governments :).

WooHoo, I have a confed cruiser with (in my oppinion) the best upgrades; a RCS upgrade, an engine upgrade, a thrust enhancor, some heavy rockets,a particle beam, more missiles and torps, and everything else it came with.

P.S. I think the particle beam is k3wl. If you are in a system and say, you have to attack a pirate or a fleet, Just land, refuel, and use up your fuel on the objective, Its well worth it because the pay you get makes up for the fuel. But it works best on big ships, it knocks fighters far away and they regenerate their shields.
