My brother who is 7 years old (7!!!!) has conquered all the planets apart from Satori, Sol and Ruby. They seem impossible. Somebody help please.
My brother hasn't cheated belive it or not!

Saitori and Ruby are easy. the only reason yer bro doesn't have em is he probably hasn't gotten around to them.
Sol, however, is tricky. It took me a total of 11 hours (without the pauses I took to keep my sanity) to conquer that system. There are LITERALLY THOUSANDS of warships in that system! What I did is get the cloaking device and a ramscoop in (so I can cloak longer)
Before you demand tribute, launch all your fighters and escorts and yaddah yaddah yaddah.... As soon as you demand tribute and they send their ships at you, CLOAK! the ships will just sit there while your fighters and escorts are teraing them to pieces. When you run out of feul, decloak, find an unlucky freighter (there are usually at least two in the system), board it, take it's feul, and cloak again!

What exactly where your escorts and fighters?

One idea I had for making dominating Sol easier is this (this idea might not work, but I'm pretty sure it will):
1. Launch all your fighters
2. Land on a planet without having your fighters come back in and buy the ship you first had again.
3. Take off, launch all your fighters, and repeat the process. Soon you would have TONS of fighter escorts. And after you've dominated most of the galaxy, costs shouldn't be a problem.
P.S. I agree with you "Nothing"! Your plan seems really good!

I would've loved a game like EV when I was seven. 1989 wasn't the best year for Mac gaming though.
Afterthough: The easiest way is to get 36 of your ships into the system. That's the max amount of ships allowed in a system. You can then demand tribute and they'll give it to you, they can't launch any ships. It's a weasel way to demand tribute, but it works.
Also, I don't think that other idea will work. Five Confed Frigates at a time, without stop for a long time will go through all your fighters in a couple minutes, tops.

When your escorts attack the defense fleet, the defense fleet ignores them! Only firing a few proton bolts before attacking you again! Believe me! I've seen it on EVO! In that case, a fighter could seriously damaged a Confed frigate before being destroyed, it might even kill one!

32,765 ships per planet (and station) to be exact.
