As some of you may or may not know, even though my name is related to EVO I am also an EV enthuasist, and played it for quite a while before Override came out.

Anyway, throughout my time I have not downloaded too many EV plugs. There are so many, its tough to root through them all.

So I am asking you guys what the best plugs to download are. Basically, what I'm looking for are either total replacement plugs or major additions to the exisiting EV galaxy. Little plugs I really don't care that much about.

The major plugs I have are EVGE, and The Quantumire Trilogy (along with a handful of others). I don't have much else than that.

If you guys could tell me what you think are the best EV plugs, I would be grateful. Just don't tell me about Star Wars/Babylon 5 plugs, I've been there and done that.

If certain major plugs have sites you are aware of, I'd appreciate the URL's if you happen to have them.

Have you tryied ORESTE. There is no much talk about it on the board, but I really enjoyed it. Good missions (quite a bunch of them), nice ships, interesting idea. it's really worth playing.
You may wont to try Federation too. There is only beta version of it, so there are pleanty of bugs. Still the 3d-ships look preaty good (as far as I remember).
And ofcourse you know Pale, Bounty Plus, New Horisions (I didn't really like it though) and Galactic Scourge, Empire 2.
In a few days the Mugabi and the Destiny is gonna be in add-ons section. It's already finished, the author just had some problems uploading it to Ambrosia. I don't really know how good is it, but the package is 12 Mb, so I guess it replaces (adds) a lot of stuff.

I hate to toot my own horn (erm, wait, no I don't...), but I'm rather proud of my 3D Targets plug and Black Panel. Escort Carrier wasn't bad either; Hornet just kinda sucked.
Both my 3D Targets plug and Black Panel added different target graphics for all the ships; they also included Escort Carrier built in. Black Panel changes the color of the control panel in EV so that it is all black (hence the name).

I have completed Mugabi amd Destiny (Thank-you Slav for the above note). The entire package is 12 Mb, the plug-in itself is 10.6 Mb. It is not a "replacement" EV universe as I felt compelled to leave the original system structure in place, but it adds a huge amount of artwork, includes music, and takes place in a new quadrant of space. In spite of its size it will flow very quickly. See my post on "Mugabi.. RELEASE".
It can be downloaded directly from the Mugabi and Destiny Website, which also details the features of the plug-in.
