First of all i have the unregistered version of uplink. Just in case this makes a diference.

1. My first question is, i have been reading on some topics that you can hack into a bank and get yourself some money. How do you do this, and am I allowed to? being unregistered and all.

2. In uplink I bought the Gateway with the Broad-band Radio, it says you cannot be caught using this and yet i have been caught.... Why?

1. Yes you can do it, but it's not easy.
   It is posible, but really hard, to do this with low level software. It's better to do it once you have been
   able to purchase a HUD Connectionalanalysis and a Moniter bypass. The best way hack a bank
   is to do a "Trace a recent balance transfer" mission. Once you are
   done with that, you will have the code to an account with a lot of money.
   Then you hack that one. I'm not going to tell you exactly how to do that, look for a guide, there's
   some on add-ons page.

2. I dunno, I think that it doesn't really do that.

Well I'm just giving you the information I got. I think at one point it actually did make you invincible, but they changed the code later and didn't change the description.

Right, it would have made the game a little to easy.
