I just got around to having to use these bypassers and cant figure them out. I connect to the target, open the connection analyser adn drag the proxy tool on to the lock symbol. Whats suppose to happen, all that happens for me is the light goes green and my connection is tracked. Im trying to hack social security computer.

The monitor will check the status of the proxy and firewall from time to time (as indicated by the red dotted box around them). If you use any of the bypassers without the monitor bypass used as well, a trace will eventually be started.

What would be the best way to hack this system? Save up and buy a monitor bypass? I am new to this game and the help isnt exactly the best.

Social Security isn't that strong of a target. I'd suggest using a lot of bounces and working quickly. Just accept the fact that they're going to trace you, and do the mission. Save up for monitor bypass, because you'll need it later, but don't worry too much about it yet.

The active trace is the server trying to find you. It start immediatly (if it start at all).
The passive trace is the admin realizing that his server has been hacked, and hire another hacker to find you manually. Of course, if you take too many bounces, the hacker may eventually give up. That's why you haven't been caught, I think.
Be carefull, 'cause you could be tracked by a someone who won't give up...
