Good heavens, no. In the vast telecommunication networks of tomorrow, traces are measured between relay points, and that time depends on how well-hidden your signal is. So, the more 'legitimate' you are on any bounced machine, the longer it takes for a tracer to realize where the rogue signal is coming from.
A plain, normal bounce can be traced in as little as one or two seconds on a secure enough system. Dotted-boxes take closer to ten. Admin-class bounces are even longer. So, poking around in a bank through a whole slew of no-box bounces will have your trace tracker beeping like crazy and likely send you into a panic.
TheDistance is futile. And it's irrelevant as well--notice how the same company's systems are often scattered across the globe?
