    • sticky menus...can't quickly copy or delete

      3 3 341

My problem is this: when I copy a file, and then need to drag it to my file storage area, I can't pick it up. Sometimes I can, often I can't. Also when I try to delete files on a log, the Delete File program sometimes locks onto the file I click, sometimes it doesn't - it seems to "cling" to the mouse.

I am using a Powerbook with 1 GHz G4 processor and 512 MB of RAM, so there shouldn't be any problem with mouse response speeds etc. This makes the game frustrating, as I can frequently access systems, but these problems slow me down ( I need to try three times to copy a file etc.) and I end up never having time to delete the logs, if that even works...

      Help!

    • just make sue its previous task is done and all that.. you cant rush it, its a pc game port...

    • Once you select the copy option, the pointer is set to the left (on my Mac) of the copy icon.

Select the file to be copied and be sure the pointer is set on the file when clicked.

When the copy is finished click on the center section of the copy icon.

Click on the memory icon (at the bottom left of the screen-if you haven't all ready) with the pointer then move the pointer (with the attaced file copied icon) and click on an empty memory location with the pointer.

      That should do it.

p.s. i neglected to mention that the 2nd click should be with the right button ( on my 2 button mouse ) .
If that doesn't work you may have to reconfigure you mouse preferences.
I don't know what to do with a single button mouse, but with a Mac i'm guessing the 2nd click (to let go of the icon) is 'option-click'.
pps: oops, i just checked and on my machine the 'release' or 2nd click is " control-click" ( at the same time )
