So I finally decided to register. I've sided againts ARC for now, but that's beside the point.
The thing is, I've sucessfully destroyed one computer (as a mission from the list) using Revelation. I tried to destroy it from the console, but no luck.
Now, however, I accepted another such mission.....I'm supposed to destroy the Sample Company Mainframe.
First, I entered the console, and did the whole
cd usr
delete
cd log
delete
cd sys
delete
shutdown
thing. The Uplink News Server reports a disaster, and that the data is unrecoverable, and the like. However, the mission refuses to end.
So, I go and launce Revelation on the Sample Company. Another news item comes up, but the mission still registers as incomplete.
It could be because Faith is on 2.0 already, and Revelation (at least the copy I have) is only at 1.0. In any event, does anyone know how to take that system down permanently?
I went back and tried the console again......all the stuff is sys was back, but nothing else.
Should I just Abandon?
