Hi everybody,
I just got this "simple problem": the lines connecting the differents squares on the world map just "don't work". I explain: instead of connecting two square, they go in any direction but the one of the square I'm selecting... it is just a graphical problem because the connexion itself works properly... many I sould upgrade an extention/app ??? Thank for your help...

When i look with the max zoom, i have something like that too.The doted lines aren't on the squares.
But when i go to the larger scales, it look all fine.

Do you have the same thing, or is there a bigger difference ?

About the fix, there isn't any i've heard of. And how to fix it ? Well, I dunno.

Well, it's way further than just a few pixels... Once I made my way through the differents servors (squares) with the lines going anyway, and I closed the world map, all the lines seems to converge at a point situated next to the date/hour (up left)... quite weird... I tried to redowload it, I also tried with regisered and unregistered version... makes no differences... the same file decompressed on mi brother's Mac running under X works properly... maybe the OS9,1 is to blame?? I also can't run Uplink Agent Backup and InterNARC ... the first one can't find Uplink and the second one won't launch (unknown problem or operating system trouble)
I shoul maybe switch to X, but it's mi parents Mac and they are yet in troubles with 9,1 (I know X isn't "more complicated"). Thanks anyway for your answer....

Wow.
I never saw this thing.
Well, i'm back from Os 9.2.1, and Uplink run fine. On the other hand, this OS is supposed to be Classic, and back up OS, so it has only the basics installed.

Try running it with a clean system (from an installation CD, for example).
And tell me how many RAM you have, please.

I have got an IMac (G3) 500 with 192 RAM OS 9.1 (and I give as much memory to Uplink as I can) and by the way the Agent Backup tels me that he just can't find out the backup files... of course because I havent installed it yet... I don't understand... I'll try when I have a chance to upgrade the OS to 9.2... who knows...

SilkyWay, Do you have an installation cd for OS 9.1 ?
If yes, you can just reboot the computer from the cd and try Uplink again. If it's bugged again, then Uplink is incompatible with 9.1. If it run fine, i guess your system is in fault.

If you don't have the cd, report the problem on Help on the Way, there's people who wil be able to answer you more easily.
