This question has probably been asked already, but I can't find it...

I've decrypted a REDSHIRT file using RedShirtX, but what do I use to view it? I tried TextEdit, but It still has messed up chars and is hard to read. Any help would be appreciated.

      Thanks,
      -Nik

    • I use BBedit, personally. It will always have weird chars though, read between them.

I used to use BBedit, but I just switched to TextWrangler (by the same company). It's cheaper, and it does everything I need. So far, at least <g> ).

Yeah, there are nearly always weird characters left in the REDSHIRTed files. Certainly the usr file comes out that way.

Yeah, I saw that. I haven't played with it yet, though (mostly because I like the challenge of hacking a bank instead <g>.) OTOH, I already have all the necessary programs, so ...

Ahhhhh. you've stumbled on that, have you? It's an mp3 ... but not a very pretty one.

I gather that it's used to decode book2, but I haven't managed to do it yet. I need to play with that some more.
