How do you do that?
I know with software you delte it from your memmory banks but I have no idea how to delete hardware. I have tryed replacing it by simply buying it again but it didn't work.

I accepted two missions to steal files from the same mainframe, but didn't realize it. I completed one of the missions and sent my reply off, then I realized that I was supposed to hack into the same computer as in the first mission. But the problem was, the mainframe wasn't on the map!

This is not a bug. When you are not connected to any server, you can see list of all the IPs that you know. So scroll until you find the computer that you want cannot see on the map, and click the button(its just a black empty space) to the right of it, this toggles machines from appearing or not.

I think I have discovered a bug in the first ARC mission.

It SHOULD read

I don't think this has been found before, but apologies if it has. Has anyone noticed that the congratulatory message you're sent when the CEO of ARC is arrested comes from Internal@ARC.com. Surely that's a mistake?

The money that you get charged every month (uplink fee $300) doesn't get pulled from the same bank account each time (it went from the only one I had (uplink bank) to a cybernet account.
If you have no money in the account when the uplink fee is charged you get a notice saying that your account is over drawn and has a negative balance. After you pay the fine you get a message back stating that your fine has been paid and they hope this will stop you from hacking there machine in the future. It is the same message you get when you get caught the first time (at least on a small hack). I am not sure if you only get 1 freebie or not but if you did and they went against you it would suck.

A bug I noticed a while back, but forgot to mention: I created a new bank account for myself in a bank I wanted to hack. I stole the cash from the other person's bank account and transferred it into that bank account. I got away with that hack, but when I tried moving my newly stolen cash from my own bank account to my uplink bank account, I was "caught hacking".

I have a few bugs that have been mentioned previously, but feel that I should back up my fellow Bug Havers.
1. Multimonitor Support
My Main comptuer (G4 867) which has a local IP of 192.168.0.2 gets a very odd and LONG IP
eg( 46526354846.6546841385.0.1).. I think that this is keeping me from being able to use my laptop as a 2nd monitor.
2. Mail / Mission / Map
When I use my map and I get a new mail... The map names jump all over the place.

I have the ARC missions where you must frame the arunmor tech for bank fraud and destroy the arunmor LAN.
After completing both missions and sending the reply email i get this email for the bank fraud mission: you performed the hack but the logs don't lead back to his home IP.
and this email for the destroy LAN mission: you don't appear to have damaged the Arunmor central mainframe very much.
I also hacked and destroyed the arunmor central mainframe (not the LAN) just to make sure the error wasn't in the mission instructions.
A possible reason for the bank fraud mission failing to work is that the arunmor tech is Gareth Underwood, a man you i have already framed for bank fraud from another, standard mission. Is home IP remained the same between both missions.
Anyway to fix this?

Hi, more and more often the Uplink crashes soon after I create a new character. Usually, in the beginning, if I click on the map or try to enter the Uplink server, it crashes AND I have to create a new user. If I can get past the first few missions then it's smooth sailing. This last time however, it's crashed about 10 times in a row and I just can't get a character to stick. I've tried re-downloading through both Safari and Explorer. I'm using Stuffit 6 to open. I have a 700 MHz Power PC G4 and am running 10.2.6 but, I even tried playing it on OS 9.
I've read about similar problems but, can't really find an answer. Should I be posting this in tech? Thanks.
p.s. I thought that this wasn't a bug because, the other topics concerning the same issue never said so and weren't locked.

I don't know if anyone reported this yet, but sometimes when you point the mouse on a button, it wouldn't press it. You have to press few time on it in order for it to work.
Sometimes, when I'm pausing the game when I'm in a middle of a hack and restore it, then Trace Tracker shows that 0 seconds left, it beeps crazily, and then it returns to normal...

You don't have to keep clicking, just hold it down for a second or so. I think it gets better as you upgrade your gateway.

I dunno whether this is a bug or not but I tried to pay a fine and the bank said that the transfer was completed succsessfully and yes I did check over the data letter for letter!!!!!!! But then when I went to answer the fine mission, they said that they haden't recived payment! ( :mad: ).
