Hrm.. So I'm reading the bug topic, where they talk about gee, the bugs. somewhere, someone (I don't know who) said that the port is a straight port, and any bugs in the windows version will be carried over. and i'm wondering, why? I mean, aside from the bugs, I have some ideas on how to improve gameplay. but said ideas won't be implemented, because of the straight-port-ness of the game. maybe my idealistic teenage brain's talking, but it seems good, that if there is a problem with a game, to hhave said problem fixed, so there is a better game overall... shrug are there legal problems?

Well, I think there are two reasons.

1. It's a lot quicker to port a game without looking for bugs.

2. Because of 1, the game is out sooner and makes money faster.

I agree. To make a port faster without looking for bugs generates money quicker. However, as Wintermute said, fixing bugs would make gameplay better. If they were to scan for bugs, they would develop a windows patch, and then a Mac patch.
