Trouble with LAN "Isolation Bridge"

I've read the modlink guide and used the search feature but, still can't figure out how to deal with the Isolation bridge. When I connect to it, I disable the bridge but afterwards, using my LAN probe doesn't show me any new paths. I've broken into ARC's Main Server before, but I don't remember encountering an Isolation Bridge. I can't find any new systems on my LAN and seem to have reached a dead end. I've rescanned and probed every system on my map and opened every locked. Any suggestions please?

Try locking the bridge. When the bridge is unlocked, A is locked and B is unlocked. When the bridge is locked, A is unlocked and B is locked. (I must have a record for cryptic posts...)

First off, LANs are randomly selected by the game from the start, so if you've hacked ARC in another game, there will often be a very different layout.

Next, you should probably read up on the information from Uplink Internal. There's some useful information there on many aspects of the game, including security features.

Now, the thing about isolation bridges is that they control two locks at once. Sometimes activating an isolation bridge will open up a new pathway, sometimes you'll need to enter in through a modem (which hopefully you know the dial-up number for). It really depends on the LAN. LANs are supposed to be puzzles :).
