Sorry, I'm sure this is a stupid question, but is 1.0.1 the update we want, or the broken version?

It's not broken if you're using OS 9 or earlier.

Its broken if no one can play your games. (yes I know, Exept the people using OS 9, anotherwords no one)

It doesn't become you to be a snob. My daddy won't buy me a newer computer so I'm using OS 9.2.2. Another developer who frequents these boards is still using OS 8.6. When the fix comes out (notice I did not say "if"), I'm sure there'll be a way to build a release for the game which will work in the newer systems.

There are still quite a few people using OS8 and 9. Unfortunately that is an extremely small number compared to the platforms with bugs. It is no good making an app that only works right in OS8 and 9 when you want to release it for OSX and Windows. I just hope the update comes out soon

You guys, It does work on OS 10.04 to 10.2.8. I partitioned my drivw with one Drive running 10.3.3 and the other as 10.2.8 just so I could use Coldstone. If Coldstone didn't work with OSX I would have left this community long ago.

The only OS's that it is guaranteed to work right on are 8.1-9.2.2 and 10.0.4 - 10.1.5. They run on 10.2 but have many bugs.

This is entirely incorrect.

So they don't even work on them?
10.2 has the save bug, 10.3 wont run the games. Many people are having problems with games not running on Windows XP. I haven't managed to get the music in GoT to work in Windows 98. I have heard of no bugs in OSX 10.0 or 10.1 or OS8 and I haven't had any bugs with OS9

You should listen more often then. There are plenty of bugs in the earlier OSs.

Well, I think we should all just step back and take a breather, because everyone involved seem to be asking the same questions in which they are receiving the same answers to. Were just going in circles, and it isn't helping anybody. We all know that in all aspects of programming, there is the fair share of bugs, and Coldstone is no exception. CS is buggy on any platform, and there is no argument that can change this. Each platform used has its bugs, some far more serious than others, but there is mostly a workaround, and if not; make it work for you or do without it. Nobody here really has anymore information than anybody else, so we shouldn't be turning on each other accordingly. It isn't helping anybody. Yes we all want an update, but it is like the lottery: it COULD happen. Nobody said that it was. It was stated that it was being worked on. Ask the source of the information on this. Or Andew himself for that matter. But petitioning, and angry emails, and constant bugging Ambrosia and sometimes (if you are desperate) Beenox, doesn't really help. Being shown the potential of the program through the creation of awsome software is really the only way to properly turn heads and gain the approval and funding possibly that Coldstone so desperately needs and perhaps lacks. Send them your greatest effort, your Dark Tides, your MSD, your Doomsnare, your whatever, show them that Coldstone is as powerful and as important as we believe it to be. If it is never shown that great things can be done with this program, how will anybody believe enough to rework it better?
Bottom line: Work with what you are given. Show people what can be done with what little you have to work with. Then ask for more.
I wish you all could just understand this.
I know that some do.
