      How's it going!

I am trying to make software that you could program a drum beat, and then have it played back in a loop of perfect time to play along with when practising drums. And I was wondering if it would be possible to do on CGE.

      Any sugestions?

      Yes, it is possible.
Easy steps on how to do so:

      1. Open Coldstone, and create a new game with the Medieval setting. Create your 'beat' and save it in the music folder of the game as an mp3.

      2. In Coldstone, use the game browser to go to the locations>defs folder. Open the Startup screen.clo file.

      3. Click on the event link button. Then double click on the Play Music Event. Double click on it and change it to whatever file you have as your music file.'

      4. Your done. This will only play 1 beat though. You will need to repeat this for a different beat. If you would like to build an interface that would let you select the beat you want let me know. I'll let you know how to do that.
