    • Anouncement of New Game!!!!!!

Hi! I just wanted to anounce the kick off of my new game: Pools of Fire and Ice. I'm making my graphics in the old, gameboy color style. 16 by 16 tiles and all. I actually started working on this about three weeks ago, but I just finnished my first tile set (grass to ground)!!! I don't have any screenshots, as it would be kind of hard with only 10 tiles. However, I might start posting my finished tiles on the add-ons page once I get the whole forest tile set (grass, ground, water, etc.) done.
The game itself will have 2+ storilines (haven't decided on the last one yet) around two characters that will interweave and connect in some ways. (Idea pops into head while typing "Maybe you could switch between characters?') Anywho, I'll keap you all posted on progress (schools out soon, I'll have more time to work) and do post progress of other games as well!! See you!!

It's good to hear that some more games are being made in Coldstone. I hope to see it finished. Good luck building it.

    • Sounds good.

I have always liked new games with a clasic game feel.

I look forward to playing your game "Pools of Fire and Ice" when it is finished.

    • A game boy "Like" interface would be cool.

That is if Sancatie decides to do so?

    • Unfortunetly, folks, I already have my map interface ready and rarin' to go, and it looks nothing like a Gameboy. On a brighter note, I hope the storyline will be fast enough so players don't get bored and stop playing (of course, we all want that don't we). I don't know if you read between the lines in my first post, but I will only be able to work on this game when I have the chance, so it will take quite a long time to finish.
Don't expect to much from the graphics, as this is my first time making most of my own pics (I am using a couple things off the add-ons page, most noticeably (is that spelled wrong?) the most previlant would be CharacterSprites for my characters, slightly altered, and RPGsGUIBackgrounds by Carlos Camacho for my interfaces, altered and with writing. I am also scrounging the net for screenshots from games like Secret of Mana 3 and Final Fantasy 3 so that I can get a general idea of what to make the game look like.

I also would like to say how amazed I am at the games other people are making. Good luck with those progects as well!

      More later!

No need to do that^^. If it's slow, it will take more time to win the game 😄

    • It sounds like you might want to talk to Yoggy. He is currently creating an RPG using just pixel art. And trust me, it looks brilliant.
