    • Using OS9 and Coldstone, a silent plea

So I want to use OS9 to see if mu game will work. Needless to say, I have way over 10 npc files, and probably many more item and event files that I can use with the unregistered version. I have registered the OSX version, so when I try to register the OS9 version, the register app says that I have already registered Coldstone. I have no idea on how to fix this. Please help.

      ------------------

    • I dunno how to fix it, but you can compile then game in os X, restart your computer and play it in os 9...

    • So does the OS9 version show up as being unregistered? If so then check the preferences folder in the OS9 system folder to see if there are any CS preferences. If there are, delete them. You can compile an OSX version of you game and then select it and get info (cmd-i) and then check the box, open in classic environment. It will allow you to test it in OS9 without leaving OSX.

    • You can also boot in 9 and THEN register. It will register for 9 and all should work then. 🙂

    • Email lostcodes@ambrosiasw.com and ask them for your code, giving them all of your pertinent info. I think there is also a webpage that will give you a new code immediately, but I cannot find it.
Be sure to register from OS 9 when you fill in the code.

    • The problem is that I can't register because the register program thinks I have. But I have just registered the OSX version.

    • You don't have to re-register with Ambrosia. There is one registration which covers both OSs. You have to get OS9 to recognize your registration code.
Edit: I should have read your first post better. If OS9 thinks you are already registered, then fine. Open in Classic and you should be okay.

If that doesn't work for you, start up in OS9. Then try Coldstone. If it runs - GREAT! if not go to the register and do that. You are set! I had to do it this way. Now I am waiting for the new version so I can run in OS10.3 (yeah!)

      Just trying...

    • Sorry it took so long to get back to you all. I tried making the OSX version boot up in classic, thinking that because it is the same program, it would be read as registered. No such luck! The registration app just doesn't recognize OS9 as being registered.

Click on the regestration app, press command I then check the "Open in calssic environment" checkbox. Then open that application and fill in the regestration. If that doesn't work then what do you mean by it doesn't think it is regestered?
