I'm looking for a good way to make sound effects for my game. I can easily record the sound of 2 metal object hitting for a attack sound however I con't think of a good way to make spell sounds. Like a fireball. Anyone have any suggestions?

Well, this is in general, but you can definitely look at using a keyboard for sound effects (not to mention music) as it has all kinds of sounds (or "voices), which you can combine and then edit through Final Cut Express/Pro and other utilities (there are some free sound editors out there, but many are complicated and can't do the kind of tweaking you'd be interested in).
