Whoa where you get that info? No one has said Ambrosia has the source. In fact the person working on the code said as much when she said she thought she was working for Beenox. Also the only person to mention new features is you thats not truthful reporting.
Reading the thread about update I think she implies the main focus will be getting the editor to fuction well with Real Basic.
I enjoy the last issue of CRC magizine and think your site is top notch but would caution against leading reporting.

There's no way in heaven and earth that I believe you have more information about this than anyone else. I don't believe that Carm would be that irresponsible if that's who you claim your "source" to be. Stray is absolutely on target here. Why should Ambrosia ask you to take it off? Why should they have to monitor what you write? It shouldn't be there in the first place, at least nothing more than what's exactly been posted on this board. I don't believe you to be a reporter. You're certainly not a professional. I think you're a kid who's having fun. Do you really want to lack credibility? I'm pretty angry right now and I shouldn't post when I'm angry. But I find your response to Stray and your CRC post about this to be outrageous. I think that as long as you use this board to promote your own website, which is NOT an official Ambrosia website, you need to take extra care about what you write concerning Ambrosia and their products.
Since I am "anybody," then I'm asking you to remove it, or at least to change it to accurately reflect what's been posted on this board, without the implication of anything else.

That information reposted by StrayToaster was printed on a third party site with a separate venue to handle grievance with its content, while it was initially done with tact subsequent posts fell into indignant romps of; fury, belittling, trash talk and juvenile bouts of the condition known to all 3rd graders as the "proveIts".
I felt it was a bad move
( did i predict the outcome of this post or what, +2 cool points ) to post the contents of said goings on, i posted in a jesting manner. Why, not because the information was posted to the beta list or any other designated closed channel, but because it was a private conversation amongst private citizens who had no knowledge that portions would be reproduced/published without knowledge. The only real reason to remove said conents is not to adversely effect relations/communications/confidence with Carm.
Might be best just to drop parties a quick note for permission first in the future.
He really has no responsibility to maintain any set viewpoint nor any truthful information on his site. The purpose of the post was to let you know that on December 30th 2003 , that his site had changed servers and that it was now open and ready to recieve visitors, in its shiny new form.
There was no need to denegrate or attack.
Just ask him to change it, save the rest of it for an email as it serves no other purpose than to "make an example"/"proclaim"/"henceforth etc. etc ad nausea, by order of...pomp and circumstance, fanfair".

I have several things to comment on. First of all, I am greatly disturbed by the "incendiary material" (right out of the web board guidelines...) in this thread (Just so you know Stray, I am not referring to you as your post was courteous and simply asked a question without any flames at all). Pilky was repeatedly attacked for posting information that people questioned, yet did not know for sure was false. I was shocked to hear the accusation as I never have thought of Pilky in deceiving light and his magazine is doing quite well already; I can see no reason he would want to make up things. In addition, he did not say, "There will be new features." He said that if there was time, then it MIGHT happen. If a reporter says something MIGHT happen, you can't accuse him/her of lying unless you know for sure that it won't. Do all of the posters who attacked Pilky claim to have insider info that Ambrosia and Beenox will NOT allow any new features? And though it would have been a good idea for Pilky to mention that he had talked to Carm, it still does not excuse the inflamatory messages, two of which came from our very own moderators. "Innocent until proven guilty" is the principle on which America's highly successful courts function, I believe. Unfortunately, it seems that many of us have forgotten this and have made baseless accusations as they were unsure where certain information came from. Some of you may think it pure trouble-making to bring this up after it has been "resolved", however, it seems to me that the issue of flames, some coming from our own moderators' mouths (or fingers, if you will) is a serious issue for this board. I know that moderators should technically stick together to maintain order on this forum, however, I ask that you take a look at your words and the words of your colleagues and think about what you wrote. Look at it from this view-point: Was it really right of you to beat on Pilky for posting new information, just because you couldn't verify it? Wouldn't nicely asking him: "Did you get this from Carm and how?" have been a better approach than attacking him? I'm sorry if I sound condesending or "out of order" but I think this is a serious issue. If the people on this board can not control their tempers when posting then I regret to say that I will cease to be a part of this community. Regardless of whether the community considers this a loss, I consider it a personal loss and urge people to be more considerate and thoughtful when posting.

I feel a lot better now. It just seemed that everyone was a bit out of character and I felt that if it were like that all the time it would be difficult to hang around here. Much better now. 
By the way, I agree entirely with your point RD, but as you said, not in the way you expressed it. I really just wish that Ambrosia would open a progress log in their upcoming section (or somewhere else) so we can have the official "from-the-mouths-of-Ambrosia" news. A progress log on this board might work, but might also suffer from unwanted posting/speculation. Anyway, glad to see the board memebers are back to themselves and that everything is straightened out. Anyway, now I'm tired (it's almost 11:00 over here) so I'm going to bed.

Hi, Carm here, the new intern.
Yes, I am currently working on updating Coldstone. Just to clear things up, Ambrosia hired me to do this update (being paid by Beenox for the time I spend working on it would be on the side). I do have the source code and am currently sorting it all out.

I am not forcing you to go to the CRC about anything. If you do not want to go to it then you don't need to go. You say that "This is the official forum for news of and about Coldstone". Well I consider the news that the CRC has been updated and the URL has changed to be releated to CS and I am confident that I am not the only one who feels this way. Why should the CRC get ill treated when it has every right to have news about it posted in this forum as anything else.
You do not need to come to the CRC to find out news. More often that not I will probably get news from this forum. The fact is that if I do post something on the CRC before it appears on here then there is no reason to say that it is untrue. I am not the person who will post lies about something and then stick by those lies. Everything I post has a reliable source and if it doesn't then it will either not be posted or stated that the news in unconfirmed.
