ZeldaMaster, I hate to rain on your parade but I don't think you realize to extent of what you have just asked. For a non-combatant NPC there are typically 64 pictures (8 frames per direction x 8 directions) and if the NPC fights, add all the attack positions and defense positions and you get up in the hundreds of frames (128 frames minimum without the defense.) Now take all of these pictures and organize them into an animation sequence with the proper flags. We are talking many days of work here to produce one NPC.
I suggest you make your game with NPCs which are available from Coldstone and then if the game is very good, you might at that point be able to convince a graphic artist to give you help with the project. Be forewarned that there are only a few people around here who are any good at this and their time is valuable. Most of the capable artists have their own projects going.
You might have more success asking around the art department of your local school for someone who likes to work with computer graphics and wants to get in on this with you. Good luck with it. ~RD
