My game, Mechanical Soldiers Division has reached version 0.1.4!!!!

Version 0.1.4 includes:

•One robot to play with
•Four different enemy units (tank, guard tower, soldier, guard)
•Two missions
•Upgrades that can be bought between the missions
•And... a cheat! Try to discover it if you can

Feel free to post your comments! Either here or in my CRC forum that can be accessed from the site...

You should also know that I am aware of two bad things:
•The access in mission 1 is not the best, but that is not my fault (coldstone making me angry).
•You can shoot through the walls (that is also something strange about coldstone, if anyone knows how to avoid it, you will get a big gold star )

Well, I played until the ____ got me killed on the second level!!

It has a nice old arcade feel to it. Is there a way that I can block? Any other keydowns? A way to buy stuff other than in between missions?

No, you can only buy upgrades when the IPD picks you up and takes you somewhere else No buying between mission 2 and 3 since they wont pick you up...

Nice game! Only two bones to pick.

One: I know you are developing it in a limited time-frame and all, but the story could do with a bit of beefing up. The way it is now, it's simply pointless levels and will require amazing features to draw the player in and keep them playing. Without cool features/graphics or a good story line the game gets repetitive.

Two: A smaller issue, level two is a bit...hard. Perhaps adding some sort of shield replenish pick-up could help cope with this...

All in all though, looking good. A strong contender for the showcase award

Level 2 will be easier in the next version (level 3 comes right after it without any repairs). About features, I will add at least 2 other robots for the player to use. If I have time, I will also add a "custom game" feature...

It would be nice with radar or something, so you could see enemies.
Also power-ups would be great.

Those upgrades are quite expensive(I had only 18 Gold after first level), and second level is too difficult.

Keydowns are keys, like enter, shift, space, letters and numbers.

The upgrades will be cheaper in the next version, a radar - yeah, maybe :). Also, I do know what keydowns are, I just dont know what other keydowns Debra meant...

Other keydowns like to open stats, save, open the shop, block. At least, that's what I was thinking when I played. I didn't try to save.

You can only buy upgrades when you get taken home to your planet. No stats or inventory or stuff.. this is just an arcade/action game where you shoot a lot of things ;). Self Destruction = cmd+K
