    • Small bug in Coldstone

When I am running Coldstone and I click as if to go to the finder the menus at the top of the screen flash to the finder for about 1/4 sec. and then go back to Coldstone! I tryed pulling down the menu to "Hide Coldstone" same thing happened. :frown:

    • Try just clicking on the desktop outside of a Coldstone window.

    • give us more details.

are you running under OS X...if so, what version?
Be aware many classic applications flicker when going from the finder back under classic.

I've almost stopped noticing it, i deal with it all day long(photoshop, pictureviewer, ... )

      additionally...

you maybe be experiencing high memory demans, when this occurs the draw routines/library (either QD or quartz ) starts to make mistakes...so you might want to quit CGE,lower itss memory partition/requirements, free the memory and or restart your comp.

    • Ledorax: I clicked on the desktop to get to a folder it would not let me switch form Coldstone to the finder.

Debra: That is what i was doing.

ellrx: Sorry. I am running OSX.2 and am using the OSX version of Coldstone. the memory is at 40512KB

I restarted the program and now everything is fine.

      ------------------

    • Just a note: Coldstone and Mac OS X were never made to work well together. I get the feeling that the classic version was the one originally designed and the OS X was sloppily ported (a quarter of the features don't work, map preview picture, etc.).

If anything else happens, the best thing you can do is restart CS or log out and then log back in. If this fails to solve the problem then you have probably encountered one of the non-working portions of the program. At that point post about it here. But remember to try some basic troubleshooting before running to the forum, as some problems are quite easily solved you can save time and Ambrosia server space just by restarting 😉 .
