Greetings all. I downloaded this a few days ago for a lark and have an inquiry:

Exactly how does one deactivate logs? I've bought a log deleter and, once I've stolen/deleted a file on my target computer, I can access its logs, bu I can't seem to delete them. Specific instructions would be appreciated.

    • Get Log_Deletver v4.0. This utitlity deletes logs without any traces of them ever existing. However, you do not want to waste your time with your destination connection's logs. Instead, use your first bounce. The first bounce should always be InterNIC. Once you've finished your hack, connect to InterNIC. There, you can access the Administrator's account. Get the password using Pasword_Breaker. You will not be traced at any time at InterNIC. Once in the Admin account, go to Logs. There, delete all logs. Well, there are certain logs to delete, but I delete all of them to be safe.

    • But be sure not to delete your connected log. Otherwise, it will look suspicious that you disconnected from the system but, never logged on.

    • When I disconnect from a system I've hacked, a message comes up saying that my username and password have been revoked for that system. Is there any way to 1) prevent this from happening or 2) use that username and password again?

I'm wondering about this as well. I seem to be getting the hang of everything else, until I get midway through Novice level or the beginning of Confident level, only to run out of sites I can get into because all of their accounts have been revoked.

    • If a trace is more than half complete they will revoke the password. Otherwise they won't. Be warned though, that the password is changed every few hours anyway (except for Ingenious Internal Service Machine. Once I had a password there for.... a long time).

    • When you get the log deleter, open the program and go over a log, click on it and the deleter will get to work eliminating that log.

Easy as that. Once its done, if there are more logs, drag the deleter over onto them, deleting those as well. The v4.0 is the best, as it leaves no trace and cant be remade.

Its always a smart idea to delete the logs at the target location if you have enough time. That way they have trouble tracing you. Its also a smart idea to delete the logs at your first bounce.

They said InterNIC, I find it much much easier to use the Uplink Test Machine. The password never changes on that, so youve got permanent admin access to it, and the logs are opened easily to you. Add in the fact that it has a slow trace and the trace takes forever and youve got the optimal first bounce.

Now pass this on! If you don't, you'll be eaten by crocodiles.

    • Yesm but InterNIC never even traces you, and doesn't change its admin either.
