    • Strange color problems

This is weird, I dont know why it happens and what I'm supposed to do to avoid it...
If someone knows the answer then please tell me

      go to (url="http://"http://www.geocities.com/ledorax/weirdones/")http://www.geocities...orax/weirdones/(/url)
the file called "normal" is what the picture SHOULD look like, and the picture called "weird" is what it becomes when I test the game. Weird...

    • you appear to be missing a color channel from your RGB(if you used RGB, which you should)
if i had to guess i'd say green.

If you'll notice the stars have also shifted from white to blue.

Maybe your image is in CMYK or some other color mode.

... I'm like Imhotep but don't flaunt it.

    • Thanks for the help, but... what do you mean? =/

      ------------------

    • go to image/mode/rgb in photoshop, make sure its on rgb

also what are you saving the file as? is it a coldstone compatible format?

    • Small comment:

The missing channel explanation doesn't work. Notice that the spaceships start out gray and go to red. That would mean blue and green would BOTH be missing, and that doesn't work either, because the photon-torpedo/glow-things are yellow.

You've got some weird stuff going on here: Notice how the stars in the glows get inverted and go to black?

...they look more magenta to me than anything.
besides...I've seen your problem before and it came back to me when Solarinus described the image.
I bet your pict files have been saved with an alpha transparency(url="http://"http://www.geocities.com/ellrx/download/observe.sit")...observe(/url)

The other host manipulated the file upon upload. It has been moved and i have downloaded and expanded it twice from the new locale.

the resounding point, you cannot use an alphatransparency in a pict file, PhotoShp for the most part will not allow you to do this, however Graphic Converter(GC) will, be aware, that when you copy an image within GC it will transfer the Alpha Layer along with the bitmap, which is a timesaver if you're processing pngs.
