      Does anyone know the technique for making art in the POG style? For instance: when they made a rock, it isn't just 1 or 2 shades of grey, it is a huge variety of little fleks of grey and other colors. I want to make a new building for my game (using Photoshop), but I am having trouble coming up with a quick way to make it look similar to the buildings included on the coldstone CD. I know I can cut and paste parts of the coldstone buildings, but none of them have parts that I want. Does anyoone have any ideas?

      The images in PoG assume a lightsource placed at some angle, thus creating a shadow effect.

      I'm sure someone knows what that angle is, and at what intensity the light is. 🙂

    • as for the texture, they propably used a bump map or maybe even a texture placed on a 3d object. i know bryce can make very similar rocks if you choose their rock textures and then you can play with tons of setting as to how cracked or deep the rock looks. then take a look at pog, see where the light is and try and rotate the rock somewhere similar light wise or you can use light sources or "balls" and then give the rocks a shadow in photoshop.
