      I'm new, as you probably all suspected by now.

      Just wondering if there were a few simple walkthroughs that could help me:
      Create a new Characters/Many Characters
      And if you can do Trun Based Attacks, one on that
      Animate Characters

    • To create an NPC, simply choose the create NPC option on the CS menu. Set it's stamina to 0 for friendly, or positive for hostile. Assign other stats as you see fit. For a player character, you can emulate different character choices by modifying classes so that they represent the different characters, and not allowing the player to choose a name, race, or statistics.

      For turn based combat, the very first topic on this page when you posted was about that exact subject. I'd suggest looking there.

      Animation.       A while back I uploaded a small tutorial on shooting a weapon in CS. At the time I wasn't aware of the shooting animations on the Coldstone CD. WOW! they are great! The graphics that is. So, instead of making your own graphics, which is what half of the tutorial is about, look in the Coldstone CD under Art Lib/ Medieval outdoors(folder)/fx_anim...these are the animations. under fx_Anim_Frames are the graphics for the animation.       Just in case you forgot how to choose him... got to menu/project/game options...select misc tab, click players map display, select. In the game root folder select the NPC_Hero. You will see a red square with an arrow in it next to the character. That arrow means animation. Scroll down until you see another animation arrow. As you click on it, it should say HeroBow. Click the select button. and save. Now you are a bow warrior. Get the tutorial and make him shoot arrows ,fire balls, or whatever you find in the Arts folder.     • I'm sorry. I messed up. I knew how to create an NPC, I was wondering how to create your own character with a different look, i.e. make a skin for a character or design a new look.

      despite the screenshots, the engine uses 2d graphics, in the pict/pcx/png/jpg formats
      those were 2d stills of 3d models,
      all you need is a paint program
