    • And the winner is.....

OK Ladies and Gentlemen, it is now time to announce the winner, and the runner up, of the May Chronicle of the Month competition.

As all of you who read the Chronicle of the Month thread are aware, it seemed like there was going to be only one winner this month, without any runner up at all, but due to the foresight of one of our members ( šŸ˜‰ ) we now have an honourable mention, as well as the overall winner.

      And now... the winner is.....

(url="http://"http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/cgi-bin/ubb/newsdisplay.cgi?action=topics&number;=49&forum;=*Coldstone+Chronicles&DaysPrune;=25&article;=000037&startpoint;=")The Ascendancy of Life(/url) by myself, and by Celchu.

And for this months Honourable Mention, (url="http://"http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/cgi-bin/ubb/newsdisplay.cgi?action=topics&number;=49&forum;=*Coldstone+Chronicles&DaysPrune;=25&article;=000041&startpoint;=")Spear of the Sun (Pt 2)(/url) by Cafall.

Now, to the dispensation of prizes. Due to the futility of attempting to raise my karma, I hereby grant Celchu one karma point for being joint winner (I considered giving him mine, but didn't šŸ™‚ ) and Cafall, as he is now the proud possessor of two Honourable Mentions, also receives a karma point.

Congratulations all who were entered, and I'll see you again in a few weeks!

      -Andiyar

/me remembers that he left the notes at home.
/me walks off the podium, rather embarrased.
/me looks at his new karma, smiles. šŸ˜„

Glad to see you humbled yourself and took my advice and voted for Cafall. šŸ™‚
      YOU really deserved it.

PS: Robert and Ben, it's not hard to win a race when you're the only ones running. šŸ˜„

True, but we were also the only ones who submitted a cron between 2/22 and 4/15. It's hard not to win when you're the only ones who care. šŸ˜„

P.S. Since the Cron of the Month was locked before you posted (if you were going to at all), did you have any reply to my message?

Hey! I was just kidding about you being a good writer, just because of Ben. In fact I was amazed to find out you were a highschool student. Your writing has a greater maturity than what I thought a high schooler might be capable of. That's why I asked about the TAAS writing. I taught 5th grade and am familiar with the writing requirements. I knew even before I asked what the answer would be. I'm proud of you. Keep nurturing your gift and use it wisely.

What would you say if I told you that I was in junior high?

Well, branching off Andiyar, I'd say you need to come on IRC more often. Posted Image

I would like to congratulate all the entries in the Chronicles over the months, but this akes me curious, are any of these wonderful/winning stories ever going to be used as plots? ...or are they just expelled grey matter floating around the net

I can't speak for the others, but the material that Celchu and I have released, in relation to Epitheisterra, is part of the plot formation/backhistory of our game.
