I got involved trying to get my two grandsons into something besides PLAYING on the computer and learning something in technology that will make them enough money to support me in my retirement years. : > )

    • Well, I suppose there's no harm in revealing my identity. (BWA HA HA HA!)

My real name is Aaron, and I've lived in Halifax, Nova Scotia all my life (Wait a second! My profile says that! ๐Ÿ˜‰ ). I'm 15 years old, and I'm interested in anything science, especially robotics. I'm thinking of making one of those robots you make out of casette motors and parts from old walkmans and other electronics (they're called BEAMs). I also like video games, espectially Nintendo, though that's mostly because that's what I'm most familiar with .

      Best of luck to everyone!

If you like building robots, check this site out. I bought a set for my grandkids a while back and they are doing some very clever things with them. Some highschools even have a program that teaches robotics with these outfits. I've seen some of their robot contest at computer conventions as well. I'll bet this site will blow your mind. Or as you young guys say, "SWEET!"

    • Well, I've just had a couple of absolutely terrible days. And of course, since I'm such an open person ( ;)) I've decided to share them with you.

It all started out yesterday morning (Monday) when i picked up my car keys, packed my stuff for uni into my bag, put my keys in my pocket, washed my hands...... and discovered my keys had made a rapid burst for freedom. Somewhere in a roughly 5 square metre radius my keys had jumped from my pocket. I shrugged, and started looking.

Ten minutes later, they were still MIA. I decided to leave them, and use my spare keys. But of course, my spare keys would not turn in the ignition. And I had an exam that morning, 10% of my final Maths grade. I swore.

I then arranged to get taken in and brought home. No big deal, I thought, I can look a lot harder tonight.

Now it's Tuesday, and the keys are nowhere in sight. So I took the car down to a garage (I finally got the spare key to work in the ignition, after about half an hour of gentle fiddling, acting much like a car thief) and was told that since my car was so old (1980) it would be almost impossible to find a part to replace it. The mechanic suggested I call a locksmith, and see if he could shape my spare key so as to work properly.

Fine. I called a locksmith, arranged to meet him half an hour later. Got to my Dad's work (the locksmith is two streets away from there) and waited. After an hour, he hadn't showed. I called again, he'd been called out for an emergency, and was on his way. 15 minutes later, he pulled in beside my car, and went to work.

Another 15 minutes later, and he handed me two brand new, perfect fitting keys, smiled, and drove off.

Mind you, I feel much better now I have car keys again....... but still, the last forty hours or so have not been fun.

Anything but that master. I promise to be good and leave the humans alone. Just so long as no more boys bands are made

Nice to know I'm still appreciated. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Seriously though, I feel a great deal better now that I have working car keys and all of my assignments are done (I didn't mention them before), but still, it's nice to see people still like me, despite being:

My Name is really Matt Mooney
I'm a communication arts graduate from the Art Academy of Cincinnati. I currently work as a web designer at a very small 'firm' here in Ohio. I play in an Indie rock band and we're currently recording our third album.. and suprisingly this one actually sounds o.k.! I'm 24 Married to an awesome woman whom God sent to me... and have a 6 year old daughter.. I also have delusions of grandeur.. and I keep track of these at my website
      (url="http://"http://www.stuffco.net")http://www.stuffco.net(/url)

these delusions usually involve me trying to complete feature length animation projects.. or home recording projects.. and NOW a COLDSTONE PRoject!

the weird part is when I actually finish something ๐Ÿ™‚

When I'm being a slacker and not working on these delusions.. I'm either playing gigs with the band, Letting the PS2 suck my brains out, watching a film with the wife, at church, or mowing the grass...

      life is strange.

    • Hrm. Is it just me, or has the board seemed to slow down a great deal of late?

I remember a chat I was having with necro and moki on IRC, just after the release of Coldstone. We were all joking about how, now with the release, the questions about 'how do I do this' would never end..... despite our convictions, the impossible seems to have happened.

Also, there seem to be quite a few people hanging around who are yet unidentified...... but that's cool, if you don't want everyone to know who you are and what you do, that's fine. But still, let's try to keep the board alive, and keep the atmosphere friendly, and helpful. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Hello, my name is Peter and I'm a writer. My love/hate affair with the written word dates back to my childhood, but I never thought about asking for money in return until about 10 years ago.

I have written copy for advertising, scripts for corporate videos, scripts for two video games (which will remain forever unnamed), and a 10-minute movie which has been making the festival circuit for the last year or so.

Over the last decade I have supplemented my writing income by working as a graphic designer and -- more recently -- a database developer, of all things.

At the moment I'm working on a couple of projects, including a feature film and a Coldstone game I call The Greatest Game Ever Madeย™ (working title). ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Hi, my name's Phanat, I'm 21 year old, and student. I love drawing, painting, manga, comics, anime, etc... and I don't speak english very well, so excuse me for my bad english (try to imagine my french accent).

My project is down, I have no time to make it, my lonelyness is really a handicap. Whereas, I can be a character designer. You can see 3 picts in the coldstone image gallery.

But, wait and see, if time let me accomplished my project before coldstone 2... ๐Ÿ˜‰
