Ok I've decided to share another brilliant idea because I think it can't be done without a coldstone modification :frown:
I was thinking of making an event link that changes the character class depending on what you chose. Thus, rather than the typical class menu, you could have a window where you could select a class and it would set a global, you could make certain other attributes that would add to the global, etc. and depending on the value of the global your class would be decided.
Here is an example:
There are a list of 5 links, setting the global at 2, 4, 6, 8, or 10.
There is another choice, between male or female. If you chose female, it subtracts 1 from the global.
If the global is 2, you're a fighter, if 4, you're a wizard, etc. If you're 1, you're a fighter with a female graphic, 3 would be a female wizard, etc.
I can't currently find any way to do a class change other than to manually edit someone's stats and call that a class, but if there is any way, please share!
edit: now for the part where I add in the relevant stuff that I forgot to mention earlier.
With this, we could make custom class dialogs. We could have it show an animation while you are considering your class, make you start off in a different area depending on what class you chose, etc.
Like some of my other suggestions, I feel that this would add a great deal to coldstone's capabilities with a minimal change.
