When you create a new game, Coldstone creates a folder for it. Open that folder (if you're on OS8/9, click on the small folder icon in the toolbar). You'll see the same folders listed as in your Coldstone game browser window. Put your sprites (pictures) somewhere in the "Pictures" file. They will appear in your tile set window.

PS: There is no "importing" of any kind in Coldstone. It's only a matter of copying your stuff (pictures, sounds, music, etc.) into the right folder within the Finder. All this is explained in details at the beginning of the user manual.

    • Thanks for the quick reply 🙂

I guess it makes sense just to copy files into the correct directory, rather than importing everything!

      A few more questions...
I was thinking of making a hack'n'slash style game, is it possible for my main player to fire projectiles?

Can a game made in coldStone have a high-score table?

      Thanks again.

Yes. I haven't tried to do it yet myself, but I believe that selecting a range for a weapon will make it projectile. I know that it is possible, since there were ranged weapons in PoG.

Indeed. It makes it possible to have your game folder on a network with everyone working on it at the same time without having to do some sort of update or importing operation.

Sure. Create a weapon. Assign it a range greater than 1, a projectile animation (next to the range field) with a "Bullet to target" (or something like this) animation type. You can give it to your player with an "Item Wizard" action type (or make it available for purchase in a shop) and you're all set.

Check (url="http://"http://www.ambrosiasw.com/games/coldstone/addons.html")CosmicMemory(/url), you'll see by yourself what other stuff Coldstone can do.
