I we heard you the first time. Repeated it as much as you want, but they're not gonna close it until they feel like it.
Anyway, I'm just glad that you agree with me Andiyar. I posted that in the hopes to dig some reason and logic behind your madness and waddya know I succeded. I for one just can't wait for the update of the progress log so that I can see what extra little juicy features that they stuffed into the engine. I'm exceedingly curious right now. I hope Dee posts soon so I can itch the scratch.

    • It was funny, Andiyar...
But this topic has far outserved its usefulness. (which was to entertain)

I must agree with chill: Lock it!

Gah, sending me on a guilt trip, are you? 🙂 I haven't had a good time to use the comp since Friday (one hell of a weekend) and so I spent the time researching and brainstorming. Ypu should find a rather long e-mail come Wednesday. The topic was funny, though. 🙂

Yes, everything I do and say is inherently logical, as long as you accept the basic premise that I am the sole reason for creation....... possibly. Oh, and I'm sure Dee will get around to the progress log soon. He's only got three years (by my calculations) to go until people start screaming at him, so we'll surely see it before Christmas. 😉

Not at all, not at all. I am quite content to take however long it takes. After all, as I said to Kireck, there are several years left for us to work through, we've got plenty of time! 😉 And as to Wednesday, I'll look forward to it. It's probably about 2.00am for you at the moment on Wednesday, whereas for me it's just after 9.00pm, so I'll read it on Thursday, eh? Time is relative, after all.

Anyway, to all who read and commented upon this topic, thankyou. I quite enjoyed writing that "press release" and, from the responses, most of you enjoyed it too. Undoubtedly this topic will soon be locked, as it deviates further from it's purpose.... or does it? I mean, I created this topic to satirise the release of Coldstone, and that purpose is what (most) of these comments have been about.... but then, many are becoming more and more off topic, kind of like the one I am typing right now. Ah well, it was fun to do, and if I really feel like it, I might decide to compose another one, something else suitably funny and yet understatedly ironic. Thanks again to everyone for reading this, and I hope you're all looking forward to Coldstone as much as I am. I can't wait to get my hands on this product, and I must thank both Beenox and Ambrosia for making this possible. (If I was feeling rather silly at the moment, I could also thank God and the Academy....nah)

      It's been a pleasure.

It best use is as a pressure release as comedy is used in society. maybe the lvl of in-fighting and snippetyness (that even I fall prey to) will decrease.

Note: it seems the best way to keep a topic from becoming locked is to suggest it gets locked. go figure.

anyways is topic is/was a great lampoon of AmbrosiaSW and I hope they view it as a tribute rather than a knock on thier company and/or products.

Aniyar - I hope your sense of humor is evident in your games. Pog has a little of this ie "the Elven Bed" and a few others but this was a aspect that could have been expanded.

    • I think it's funny to listen to all the people saying, 'GET US COLDSTONE, OR ELSE!' -- or, 'I'LL ONLY WAIT A LITTLE LONGER...!' -- When fact of the matter is, there isn't anything remotely LIKE coldstone out there. At least, not IMHO. So, that means we'll wait as long as it takes, and when it comes out, we'll use it. Because it will be the best way in town to create our game and to experience our creative release.

Until some worthy competition pops up, it's a moot point. All we can do is laugh about it, write out our scripts, draw our images - and salivate!

PS - I thought it was very funny! ~La!

I was going to lock it, then a couple know-it-alls had to post saying they knew it would be locked...so I left it open out of stubborness. 😁

We're working on that. Humor should be a noticable part of our game. Not the main focus, but it will be present.

Indeed it should. Enough to make you all have a bit of a chuckle, whilst not detracting from the overall seriousness of the plot(s). That enough of a teaser, Celchu? 😉

I suppose it might be, until we work out the little idiosyncracies. 😉 Gah.. I thought I would have more free time now... maybe on Thanksgiving I can step up the creative process.

Ah, well, looking at the progress log it seems my estimates might have been just a bit

    • The great thing about time is, many of the words describing it are relational. Coldstone is coming soon! Sooner than what? Sooner than the Apocalypse? Sooner than sliced peanut butter? Ah, the mind games.

      imminent: adj.
About to occur; impending. —imminently: adv. —imminentnous: n.

How soon is soon? Is it soon enough?

Trinity should be out this week --
