That's right, Introversion is releasing an Uplink Developers CD, which is basicly the source code for Uplink. This will be a Windows/Linux source code. All mods made by windows users will not be able to be used by Mac users. Will Ambrosia be releasing an Uplink Developers CD that has the Mac source code?

I don't see why not, they are placing restrictions on what can be done with it, as well as charging for the CD. My best guess is that it would be an expensive toolkit to make plugins.

I already looked over it on their boards, and they said that it was the source code, no editor included. You must learn C++ to use it, and you can do anything with it. Instead of plugins, it would replace the parts of the game that it edited entirely.
