      I think I heard somewhere that Coldstone was programmed C++.
      I think it used to be part REALBasic, but that was not a robust enough language and wasn't very portable. (Worked on OS9, not OS X or Windows.)

      The interface of Coldstone is done in RealBASIC, and the compilers are now pure C++.
