    • ? about Indoors

I just want to ask about idoor areas, and if both possibilities are possible, just say "both."

Anyways, are indoors separate maps (ie, walk in a door, it changes maps to that of a house or set of connected houses), or is it more like Diablo (ie, walk in door and roof dissapears, walls become transparent, etc.)? Any other way of doing this?
And I know caves and upstairs are a different matter(ie, mountain walls aren't going to just dissapear so you can see, it'd have to change maps. Have a saparate map from upstairs to downstairs.)

Thanks for asking... and it is a good question. However:  !!!

I'm certain that this question neither can not nor will not be answered until Coldstone is released! And then it will be moot!

Skip is right, but I'd bet money that you could do either. Just make the roof a seperate layer so it disappears when an event (placed at the doorstep) is called.

It didn't seem to me like something that is likely to be hush-hushed, which I partially why I asked, but if you say so...

And I'm inclined to agree that it's most likely that you can do both.
Heh. Layers. Why didn't I think of that? I assume you can also have tree's upper branches and leaves dissapear when you are under the tree in a similar fasion?

So, how would I go about doing the other? Set an event that when you walk into the door(not past it, cuz then you'd end up going indoors when you don't want to) an event that does whatever transition scene and then moves you to x location in the map section of the structure? (x usually being the entryway, but not always).

    • Everything about coldstone is basically a secret. Everything you can know is in the progress logs and the screenshots, beta testers cant say anything too revealing unless andrew says its okay (but you knew that already, right?)
