I myself am really looking forward to Uplink. It looks like a nice breath of fresh air in the game market. I love games that I can jump into without reading a thick instruction manual. Of course, the concept sounds really cool too. I think at this point I'm just begging for a game that's nice and different from the other stuff on the market; and something that isn't just recycled bilge from the pc bargain bin (like Legion or Worms Blast). Bring on Uplink! I promise: if I like it, I'll buy it

I can't say if I'll buy it until I play it, because many factors go into whether I buy a game or not. However, from what I've read, it sounds pretty neat and I'll probably buy it.

Having played the Linux demo, I'm definitely going to buy it. (when I get a new 1Ghz iMac, assuming it'll only run on 8.6 or higher like all ASW games)

I'd guess that the game will not be long enough for most of the people who are used to EV. Comments will be made about how there isn't much more to it than what was in the demo.

Uplink is a very fun game; I encourage everyone to play it. Especially if you like computers and hacking.

Well, it certainly looks interesting ... I'll definetly try it out when it comes out, as I do with all ambrosia games, but It should do pretty well, I think.

The great thing about Uplink is, you don't have to follow the rules. There are a lot of systems to hack, and many hidden secrets. You can do whatever you want, as long as you don't get caught. There are also some add-ons out there (though I don't know how compatable they all are). Don't worry about replayability. If nothing else, it works as an irc client ;).

I don't like the fact that there are only 10 missions related to the main plot and you can only do half of them depending on what mission that you took (unless you work as a double agent if you chose the evil side).

An "ending", which doesn't end the game (well, one way ends it). Add-ons (provided that they work, which they should), give you more reason to keep playing.

I'm sure someone will eventually make a user friendly editor, and then there will be about a billion new addons. But the game by itself is fun anyway.
