    • Dee... you have gone a little too far

To tell you the truth, I think that ColdStone is going to be incredibly great now. But, what type of changes are in store for all people who registered already? Is Windows compilation still on? Also, how much power has Dee and Beenox lost from ColdStone?

    • You know, Ambrosia SW could at least hide your IP address when you post... what's up with that? So as soon as you post, your subject to hacking without notice?

Most of your questions are answered in the (url="http://"http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/cgi-bin/ubb/forumdisplay.cgi?action=topics&number;=51&SUBMIT;=Go")Coldstone FAQ(/url).

As for the question about "loss of power", neither Beenox nor Dee have lost any power at all, I don't know why you'd assume that we'd want to tamper with a good thing. They maintain complete control over the destiny of Coldstone, and they've gained Ambrosia's input and experience.

It's a win-win situation all around, which is why both parties agreed to partner up to produce Coldstone.

I 100% agree. I received a couple of emails from other users about this. People tends to believe that we lost something... I can confirm you that it's not the case here.

Uh... no. eBay and Yahoo! got hacked, and I am sure you could get hacked too. Only morons make generalizations.

(Yes, I know that was a generalization, but I couldn't find any other way to say it)

I am not assuming you would "tamper" with a good thing, but you already said the license agreement has changed, and that we would all have to go by it. Did Dee wright the new agreement? Also, Al, a guy I know was selling a CD with ColdStone on it with the approval of Beenox, but said he would need to take it off because of the new publisher. So, now that Ambrosia SW has part of the control, Beenox is no longer allowed the power to let him include it on the CD he was selling. That seems like a loss of power to me. Now, I might have gotten some of my facts messed up, but that's how it looks to me.

Not really, please don't bring them up in the future unless they pertain to a question, or something like that.

And so the problem remained; lots of people were mean, and most of them were miserable, even the ones with digital watches. Many were increasingly of the opinion that they had all made a big mistake in coming down from the trees in the first place. And some said that the trees had been a bad move and that no one should ever have left the oceans. - Douglass Adams

    • Walrus: Who would hack someone randomly just from seeing their IP? And, where exactly does it show that you're so concerned?

Everyone else: I've seen the old coldstone. Anyone who thinks anything was "lost" should know it's for the better. (Like winblows support)

The user's IP used to be displayed. Now it says 'IP: Logged' and only moderators can see them.

(edit)Apparently, it doesn't even do that anymore... The little icon has replaced the IP's...(/edit)
