    • Some Questions

I haven't been reading this board so maybe these questions have been answered before, I don't know.

      1. Will games made in Cold Stone have ads on the full version that say "Made in Coldstone, by Ambrosia Software" or something like that? (I hope not)

      2. Will users be able to compile their games into a stand-alone application?

      3. How user-friendly will it be?

Thank you and I'm looking forward to CS's release.

I don't think anyone knows at this point, but, judging from past Ambrosia games, it might have an "Ambrosia" or "Coldstone" splash screen when you first launch a game.

If I remember correctly, this has been part of the plan for Coldstone for some time now.

If the beta testers do their jobs right, the answer should be "very." 😛

Do try reading old messages in the future, 'cause they contain a lot of interesting info. 🙂

    • 1. This totally depends on Ambrosia. If so, I hope it's not as annoying as "Made with Macromedia" (ugh, one reason I never bothered to learn Director). Their distribution / licensing model is not yet public.

If your game is selected for distribution by Ambrosia, I'd imagine they'd want their logo in there somewhere (as you probably would, too). You could also do a logo for yourself, for example "Ambrosia Presents" a "Fledgling Studios Production". I believe this is how things are with some ports--- Gathering of Developers and Westlake Interactive present a Human Head Studios production, Rune.

      2. Coldstone is not a scenario Editor, but a Game Engine. Think of games like um, that Klingon one that uses the Unreal Engine... it uses an engine, but is a full-fledged game. Take that to mean what you will; I can't say more without incurring the wrath of the Ambrosia Brass.

      .
It would be a good idea to go through the old posts; there's some good info buried among the garbage. Maybe I should go find a few and officially archive them.
