      I've been thinking recently about the Coldstone community, and I've realized that there isn't much out there besides this webboard. Sure, there are sites, but lots of them are lacking in content—not due to any flaw in their creators, but because of the lask of information out there—"the information crisis." I was thinking, maybe we need something new....

      Two suggestions: Someone could set up a Hotline Server, and people could log on. It would be like a chat, a forum, a news place, etc. It would be a great area for people to swap ideas about their games.

      Second suggestion: we could start using alt.games.ambrosiasw.

      I think that is a great idea...there are a lot of things we can do to set up a Coldstone community.....I have tried to do just that with the Coldstone Webing...but the website is, like you said, kind of starved for content.

      Well, if we get a Hotline Server, we would need someone to actually BE the one running the software. I can't do this...it needs to be someone with a stable line, and I have that, but I don't think my weak computer would hold up very long.

      🙂 Cable is really good....make sure you read all the Hotline Server docs, etc., get everything right.. I once was a Hotline Server.....well, my computer was...

      We should have a date for people to log in to make sure everything's all right.

      I have a proposition to whoever hosts the hotline server....we can make an alliance between the Coldstone Webring site and the Coldstone Hotline server. Whatever content is put on the server will be put on the website.....this way one Coldstone Resource handles the internet and the other handles hotline

      Great idea!! The Hotline will be a great place for an exchange of ideas and the Webring will be the way that the Coldstone community touches the outside world...like a front gate...

      But lots of the time Hotline just degenerates into warez and porn. Wouldn't a non-ambrosia web board just be better? That way we could moderate it ourselves, if someone with extensive knowledge of HTML or a legitimate copy of dreamweaver 4 decided to make us a really kickin web page that would be a lot better then making someone leave their computer on 24/7.

      True. But we could enforce a strict NO on Hotline and set up moderators and admins to enforce this. You also have a good idea too, and I wouldn't be unhappy to see this webpage idea spring up. I like thinking that the Coldstone community is amde up of good people, but the truth may not be that.

      But the question is-
      Do we really need another webboard? Doesn't this one fufill the need? Maybe as Coldstone gets closer to release and attracts more attention, we may need another, but now? I don't know. I can go make one now if you think thats a good idea.
