I would certainly be annoyed if people were already constantly begging for an estimated release date within the first day of having the alpha. You were the one requesting, he wasn't asking people to constantly ask hime the same question, so even if he were to be annoyed by it, he reserves every right to be annoyed.

Besides, what if it were mid 2001? You didn't leave that possibility open 😜

The point was, if ColdStone was near ready for BETA it was early 2001, and if he was not sure, it would be LATE 2001. And he has the right to be annoyed, but it is still unprofessional to show it.

All I said was "No, I will not estimate when it will be released, or when it will be in beta" -- how is that showing I'm being annoyed? I merely answered your question -- which, incidentally is the same question you have been asking for some dozen posts or so, and the same answer I have given you each time.

    • Im just a kid, so i dont know these things, but what comes first, the alpha or the beta version of a program?

    • It goes alpha then beta, in accordance to the greek alphabet (a = alpha, b = beta, c = gamma etc etc...). After beta, there's a stage called Final Copy (abbrieviated to fc) and then it's released. I think this is the right order, correct me if I'm wrong.

Well, I would think you would be annoyed, as I know I would if I was talking to myself 😄

Sorry if I ask the same questions over and over - I get a little strange when it comes to lack of information. Well, as soon as ColdStone is ready I'm sure you'll tell us all, and asking wont make it go any faster, so I do think I will shut up now 🙂

Well the movies you have up now look quite impressive - and if the final version has the ease of the original BETA, then I'd say you have an amazing product.

BTW - Dee - will the final version accept any size tile (256x256, 50x50, 20x30, 400x400 etc). Also, will the character be able to be a different size? Like lets say I want the player to be 50x50 but the tile size to be 150x150, or vise vera - would that be possible?

I am pretty sure the tiles will be allowed to be any size (as you stated a while back) but I would just like to make sure.

      Yes, this is all possible.
