The best way to get graphics for games is normally to make a 3D rendering of the graphic, and save it as a PICT/GIF/JPEG/etc.

You can create your own sprites if you are so eager. You can also use the ones that will be provided alongside Coldstone as well.

Had to alter sig because it was pissing me off
My advice, do a page or two of concept art for each sprite, then scan them in, then digitise them in Photoshop (or some other pixel pusher) and badda bing badda boom!
