Can I get a walkthrough..?

After a few weeks away from Sketchfighter I returned and found the (extraordinarily obscure) three snowflakes in The Ice Caves. I'm still baffled by the brown-non-paper-lair of two skull tanks north of The Forest. Can these be defeated? Is there any kind of switch I need to throw in that area? I see nothing.

Fun game, but a walkthrough wouldn't be such a bad thing @ this point.

Skull turrets can not be defeated. One is already happy to avoid their shots which are very dangerous.

As for a walkthrough, one is in preparation, don't worry.

There is a semi-walkthrough at sketchfighter.com that is being updated as it goes. As for the area, there is a reason for your access there. Look around a little more. The tornadoes serve only to slow you down.

Not to be dense, but I've scoured the interior surface of the brown-paper area and I don't detect anything there. Is there a switch that can be thrown only via wave from that space..?? No, not that I can find.. tornadoes so seem to harmlessly slow you down. Can't use that to cross the walls/lines. I notice that some tornadoes are drifting through the rest of the maze, now. Can they be employed for anything..??

Are you certain that you've gone everywhere in that area? I can assure you that there is something you may want to pick up in there, and it is quite obvious when you see it. You may not have gotten far enough in.

Try going in there again, and if you give up again, highlight the following:

There is a star at the far end, behind a set of cross-hatchings that can be blown up. Fly between the two cannons, and you should see it.

Nothing there -- are we talking about the same brown-paper area? I've never found a star that you didn't have to unlock a gate to get to. I shot everything in that brown-paper-tanks area as I inched along the walls. Nada.

Is there anything there I need to unlock? Or is it just a strange little area?

Should not have to unlock anything. Between the two tanks, there should be some cross hatching. Blow it up. Past that, there should be a star. That is, if i'm remembering right.

All right, here's something that might clear things up a bit: A screenshot of the area in question.
As you can see, there's a star in the upper-left-hand corner of the room, behind a set of cross-hatchings. It's only visible once you get fairly close to the cross-hatchings.
